OP-001 – Red Flamboyant Tree in Bloom
This is probably the most photographed, painted and or famous tree in Puerto Rico. I had to paint one, and maybe paint some other ones in the future. The Red Flamboyán evokes a feeling of going to the center of the Island to a quiet small town. The flowers cover the entire tree at some point when they bloom around May and June. In 2020, I saw some trees bloom as soon as April and as late as August. This painting is also part of my Puerto Rico Native Trees Collection.
